Preparing our children
On May 21st, more than 40 of our parish children in grades 2-8 will receive Holy Eucharist for the first time. Please pray for these young parishioners and their families – plus catechists and volunteers who help them prepare!

March 26: Parent meeting
Very important to come
At least one parent from each First Communion family needs to attend this meeting. Children are welcome, too. Bring your questions about what to expect.
- In the Diocesan Pastoral Center
- Right after the 11:00 AM Mass
If you have not provided Baptism information about your child, please bring it and share with show to the volunteers near the door when you arrive.
April 23: Retreat

Come to the Diocesan Pastoral Center
Begins at 3:00 PM on Saturday, April 23. Please come early! We finish at 5:00 PM
- All students are required to attend
- A parent or adult from their family must attend with the student
- Godparents are very welcome
Several hands-on activities will help everyone understand the excitement of receiving Jesus in the Eucharist!
May 19: Rehearsal
Practice in the Cathedral
Begins at 6:00 PM – please come early
You’ll see where students and families will sit on First Communion day, and students will practice processing and receiving.
May 21: First Communion
Special 11:00 AM Mass
Plan to arrive about 9:45. Before Mass: Student and family photos will be taken. After Mass: Group photo of all students with their catechists and priests will be taken. There is no cost for these photos.

What should children wear?
Simple and respectful
Native cultural clothing is welcome!
Boys may wear dress shirt and slacks, and girls may wear dresses appropriate for church. A few donated white dresses are available for our girls.
